A lift would be beneficial for luggage.

missingWrote a review on Sept 20fantastic locationnearby attractionsdated amenities
We loved the fantastic location, perfect for exploring Edinburgh. The teenagers enjoyed the nearby attractions, especially the vibe around the Scots Monument. It was great to be in the thick of it all, making family memories that we won’t forget anytime soon.
My kids wished there were better amenities for families, such as a pool. The rooms felt a bit dated, and the bathrooms could really use some upgrades for a more modern feel.

Had a lovely stay with an amazing view from our room and the breakfast was a delightful perk. The lobby area was perfect for relaxation, though it got a bit noisy outside at night. I would choose this place again for sure.

The decor had an elegant charm that made each space welcoming. The staff was always ready to assist, bringing warmth to my stay. However, there are many stairs, so I wish for better accessibility for seniors.
Improved accessibility for seniors would be appreciated.

Great location and friendly staff
I enjoyed my stay, particularly the ideal location that made it easy to walk to major attractions. The room was nice, and the staff were genuinely friendly and helpful, making my experience much more pleasant. However, I’d recommend better management of breakfast times to avoid crowding at peak hours.

Absolutely loved the location of the Waverley Hotel. It’s just a short walk from the train station, which made things so convenient. My room had stunning views of either Princes Street or the Scott Monument, bringing such charm to the stay. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. The staff greeted me warmly at check-in and were helpful throughout my stay, always ready to assist. I appreciated the good breakfast, too, especially the coffee, which was a pleasant surprise. the lack of an elevator made carrying luggage a bit tricky, especially with the stairs to the front desk. Some of the furniture felt a bit dated, and the air conditioning could use some updating. it was hot at times, even when outside wasn’t. I had a great time exploring the area while having a cozy place to return to each evening.

Charming yet dated accommodation with a great location
The location near Waverley station made exploring Edinburgh a breeze. My single room offered a lovely view but missed out on double glazing. Breakfast was delightful with local dishes. If possible, request a room away from the street for a quieter stay. Friendly staff made me feel welcome.
